I'm a very confuddled Scotsman Savvy. Normally you are spot on with your reasoning and I just accept what you say as being true, however these cookies have me doubting my own genius!:rotfl:Savvybuyer wrote: »My shop from this afternoon. Confirmed trigger: A Bakery Sweet Shop Dolly Mixture Cookies (5) - receipt shows 2 for £1.60 on the cookies. Two Garibaldi biscuits packs (one of my favourites!) needed as 2 for £1.60 in Sains. Thank you, Sains.! In fact, thank you Sains. twice, as my later shop in T - Tvs S - went to plan (last £10 off a £30) - after three attempts:eek: at the till to reach the £30:rotfl::rotfl:. I'm sure I'll tell you all about it later, as I've lots of things to do today.

With cookies in S being 50p a pack, can you explain why you need a trigger?
With trigger - £1 v 50p = apg for 55p
Without trigger - £1.60 v £1 = apg for 70p.
Surely it is just cheaper to buy two packs that compare and not use a trigger?

Not yet. Have you? Are they a bit of alright?
I will tell you this much, the vegetable samosas were awful, the tarka dhal was OK and the onion rings were not all that.
Having said that, all that for about £4 is not too bad.
Quick question, can I use the £10 PP receipt to buy more pizzas and different sides, and will it still give me a new PP?
Yes you can, I did this yesterday, with the 4 cheese pizza and sides0 -
I don't mind them popping up now and again either. Guess it is good job there is not a 2014 calendar being collated if someone is taking offence.
To be fair, I think it is just my pic that they are "offended" by much like the vendetta against HC!!

I've just thought that myself - it's 45p for one (of the ones that are 50p in S). But if you buy two (one of those ones, plus a Bakery Dolly Mixture), it's 2 for £1.60 less 55p APG (£1 to 50p+10%) = £1.05, divided by 2 is 52.5p per cookies bag. (Has you paying 7.5p more for the comparable one.)
Could have got just one for effective 45p (Avs S). Does prove not to rush out if you've found a trigger but work it out first:o. The benefit I can still see (having thought about it), clutch at straws? see, is that you get the Dolly cookies for 60p as opposed to buying them separately and paying £1.20 individual price (or paying 80p for them as part of the mbuy 'deal' in A), the Dolly version being non-comp to S. (Whereas if they cease as a trigger, it's 15p lost.) But then I bought two Cookies packs not one. Although-they'll get used and it's sort of allowed the Dolly Mixture ones to be 20p cheaper than the A mbuy price. (The lost 7.5p has been accounted for in that 20p.) But I bet whoopsied ones from elsewhere (these have short-date of today anyway and often sell out very early) could be even better! Ah well..learn from 'mistakes' (or semi-mistakes) and paid for by wombles in any event!:)
[Edit: I might like the Dolly mixture cookies and not just the limited selection avail. for comp. vs S's 50p each.]0 -
