I got some rather large logs from someone yesterday, and they have been sat outside for a couple of years. When I collected them I noticed that one of them had sawdust around it, so on inspection, noticed that it had a couple of bore holes in it. But they are not normal woodworm holes, they are about 4-6mm in diameter, and ideas what they could be?? Many thanks.

I've got a couple of large ish upright logs in the garden with the same. I've noticed bees going in and out of them

It's raining now, otherwise I'd go and have a look

I've been to Costco, asda and Tesco

In asda I bought the twin pack pillows for £5 as per the dark side

Went across to Tesco and they had 50 litre bags of compost for £2 :D not as good as the 40p stuff that Aau showed us, but it'll do me :D

Aww, they are lovely, think they are called solitary bees or something. I went to get them out of the car about an hour ago, and there was a wasp sort of creature, so guessing it was that, but put the infected one in the bing anyway, as did not want to get a colony of nasties living in my woodpile, had enough of 2 different sorts of woodworm in the house already!!

Don't blame you. I've just been out and had a quick look between the rain showers and there is sawdust all around both logs, and I could see one borehole but didnt look that hard

Mine are about 3ft wide and about 2 ft high. Shame there ain't any honey in there :rotfl:

  • Good afternoon everyone
Had two large apgs to use today £20.16 and £21.99, did not really want to go shopping , cannot fit a wafer thin mint in my cupboards, freezer bulging, I did not want to waste the apgs, so was expecting a really big trouting, so put my battle armour on and went shopping. Got to the tills and they were all trouts, loitered about a bit, weighing up who to go to, ( sa would call sv and then a discussion would happen and the people behind me would be tutting) so decided to cut out the sa and collared a sv and asked if she would put me through self-service as I had a couple of apgs, to my surprise, she said no problem, gave her my apgs and she said how did you get them, I said wait 3 hours , input receipt, print off apg, a bit sarcastic I know but I was ready for a battle, I apologised and we both laughed.:j:j:j
Good job Sada does not print out apgs straight away, I now have another large one £18.03, at least I know what to do next time, grab a sv, in and out of shop in 20 mins, a record time for me
I have also done another wine shop, being delivered next week, will post details if my figures work out
