I would have loved a meet up too
As you say it's just getting away that's important so decided that 2 hours to Yorkshire was easier than a 4-5 hour trip to Devon or Lancs.
I told DS1 yesterday evening and he's really excitedH will be more excited about the lack of stairgates and child locks I'm sure
Got to dig out a new memory card for the camera as we filled the remainder of the last one at Harry PotterAs much as I dislike having my photo taken at the moment whilst I'm over my comfortable weight, I know it's important for the boys. As positive as I try to stay, a little voice tells me to do things 'just in case'
Oh bless your DS :T
I can remember being quite young and being all excited about going on holiday to Cornwall - we always went to Devon or Cornwall and I still love going there now (especially St Ives)
As for photos, you looked pretty good to me on the emergency-elite-mse-not-working-weekend-thingy0 -

A "mine [full] of information". That's actually what one of my school-teachers said! But everyone (as far as I perceived it) still thought it was just my good memory and thirst for learning.
Despite my lack in the communication skills area. (Or my failings at P.E. I've since discovered.)
At one stage, as a child, I put good memory, lack of communication skills, not making much eye contact, high intelligence, etc. etc. all together and reached "Asperger's" - through reading the word in the dictionary!!:rotfl::rotfl::) Should have known I was way advanced of what others (including any of my teachers or even school nurses) knew at that time.. and therefore that I definitely was (and am):j:j.
I read [reed] (or read [red]) dictionaries like novels. Still interested mainly in factual stuff - not interested in novels much, unless their subject matter(s) fall into one of my 'special interests' of the moment.0 -

I think the 90's put me off music for life. don't get me wrong, I do like the occasional tune, but I never turn the car radio on (for long) I never play music at home. I do like a tune when im in the night life, or at a house party.

vanilla_twist wrote: »If stairgate is a problem then take your own. Lays flat in boot so takes up minimal space. Just take some felt to put between gate rubber stoppers and wall then mark free.
Have a great time, take lots of photos and remember you will be tired out but happy when you return home.

Might well do thatWon't be quite as relaxing if I have to chase him up the stairs every 5 minutes

Right, enough.
Someone seen as a swot or a bit of a 'geek' at school and therefore bullied (with me of course, in a very autistic way itself, clueless as to why that might be:doh:). Now.. the hero of the thread!
