Hi. I am hoping someone can help me. I am looking to get a phone to do MSL on & be able to keep up with things when out. There are loads of deals around. Can anyone please advise how much data I will need for this and can you recommend a phone for a newbie as just have a normal phone for talking/texting at the minute. Not exactly wonderful with technology so it needs to be easy to use as well.
    Thanks.

It' s VERY glitchy at the moment & very frustrating. See my post above. I've got a Huawei Y300 from carphonewarehouse on PAYG. (they're unlocked). It's £59.99 if you can upgrade yours. I couldn't upgrade mine so paid £79.99 with a £10 sim credit. I then got a Sim from Ovivo for £15 which offers you 150 mins talk, 250 texts and 500MB data FOR FREE every month. Turn off roaming normally & this should be gracious plenty when used on wi-fi mainly.

They're not exactly easy to use but I'm managing - just about! Actually if I'd have realised what they could do before I'd have had one years ago.

Don't know if we can offer referrals on here? No doubt someone will tell me.

I've done a poll and a list of my problems using MSL on the forums at MSM.
Maybe those of you with Android phones could fill the poll in?
Hopefully this will help MSM fix it more quickly. I'd also be interested in finding out how many of you are having the same problems.

  • Just been looking at cheese - we're out! :(
Found Pilgrims Choice extra mature in Tesco at £5 for 350gm - This is on offer at Asda at 2x350gm for £5.
Anyone picked up any wombles from Tesco or done this?? Does it compare? - free cheese?

    how would it be free???

if you paid £10 in Tesco for the cheese (if it does) it is going to compare that you could have bought them both for £5 at Sada so the PP will only give you £5 back.... yeah?
It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.

OMG Yes - you're right - what was I thinking? Went back to DTD days against Asda - I'm in a time warp!

OK free 2nd block if you buy the fillers at Tesco & it compares - Much better if it was more expensive at Asda.

I think I need more sleep!

I'm hoping the curries are still working - fate was against me at the weekend ie store had none of the right stock and then yesterday I had a go at poking my eye out and ended up in casualty instead of TESCO !

My eye seems fairly OK apart from aching a bit - and looking completely red where it should be white. Just right for Halloween I suppose. Looks much worse than it feels so I think I will get DH to drive me into town.
