Good Afternoon all. Just got trouted in Asda, and I don't even go in there much . I wanted to use an Apg for £8.44 on a spend of about £1 odd more. The cs woman waltzes off with it to phone someone saying "Won't be a minute lovey" huh not half I was waiting there about 10 mins holding up the queue.
Then she comes back and says for me to go to the customer services to check it. So off I go and another woman says do you know what the problem is. And I said no cos I didn t and she explains that no way could my shopping be that cheap in another shop.
Another woman then frantically types all my details in again. I presume they must have thought I d doctored my reciept but surprise surprise it comes up with the same amount lol.
Then they have to take it upstairs to take a photocopy of it so I say well hurry up I ve got my grandson to pick up. Eventually she comes back and " allows " me to use it. She says sorry for the wait etc but they aren t sorry at all and I said well I didn t have much choice did i .
Wish I lived where some of you live
This is a common occurrence where i live. They question every coupon as well.0 -

It was for this very reason I offered to get and purchased umpteen bags of reduced compost for friends and family when I got my 10 boxes of JC. Woman SA did scan receipt carefully when I had an APG of nearly £12 with it, but as my cash payment was for over £20 it didn't look quite so drastic. Then she said 'I don't know if I can put this through!'. I just casually said 'I've done then before, it's ok, you scan it and it will ask you to input amount' almost like I worked in another store
...... She paused, looked round a bit, noticed store quite busy and she had a queue, so tried scanning it and guess what..... it asked her to input amount which thankfully she did. It's such a good job most of us know more then the staff do. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't think it matters where you live. I've been trouted in stores hundreds of miles apart.
It's a shame the English attitude is as such - what I wouldn't give for attitudes like those on Extreme Couponing fromt he states. :AI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

That's a bit better! Doesn't look like they've diddled me here. My exact £30.00 shop (with £10 cond.spend) - and yes I did have to have the whole transaction cancelled once, after I was just short of the £30 spend, ... and then rush out and put a 10p sweet on there after the reattempt came to £29.90:o.
In case this helps anyone (these are genuine prices, no glitch).

The store does sell Mandarin & Lime Daz, but didn't have any in stock. Anyway - it was marked on the shelf as also being 38 wash, the same as the regular I bought instead.
Oh - the 42 pack Mandarin & Lime has become a 38 pack on t.com now - and price gone up to £8.50! (Along with the 38 pack regular.) Last day of the offer (but sure it will be back at £4.00 quite soon, so no need to hurry!).
:doh:Should have put some Pepsi 8 pack fridge pack on there (N/A in A). ...But, if am popping by Sains. anyway for their cheaper petrol??0
