Just in case it helps anyone doing a T PP v A, here are some bits from an ASDA womble today:

    1 x ASDA Mediterranean Style Vegetable Medley (410g) £1.00 £1.67
    1 x Birds Eye Field Fresh Petit Pois (545g) £1.00 £1.50
    1 x Roysters Chips T- Bone Steak Flavour (6x28g) £1.50 £1.88
    1 x Heinz Sausage Roll with HP Sauce (130g) £0.50 £1.00

They also bought different kinds of these -- this one showed the biggest difference but most of the others were cheaper in ASDA too:

1 x Cesar Garden Selection Select Toppings with Turkey... £0.50 £0.79

    If you are doing BM:

    1 x Birds Eye Field Fresh Petit Pois (545g) £1.00 £1.99
    1 x Bisto Shepherd's Pie (375g) £1.00 £1.60
1 x Bakers Dental Delicious with Beef for Medium Dogs ... £1.00 £1.79
    2 x Bakers Joint Delicious Chicken for Medium Dogs (7 ... £2.00 £3.58

    hope this helps someone

These types of post are useful - thanks for alerting me to the price of the Heinz Sausage Roll for instance:T - although caution should perhaps be exercised as, just because an item compares on the APG to T, does not necessarily mean it compares on T's PP back to A. Weights, sizes etc. may also differ. Also it's possible that other comparisons may be better (or it may be better to wait and then compare an item later against a competitor's better price).

Here for example, the A Vegetable Medley ought to compare to M. M have been '2 for £1.50' on this some while ago, and then £1.00, althought these prices need adjusting upwards slightly as M's weight is 400g. M are now* probably more expensive (perhaps £1.25? £1.49?) so it doesn't make sense to compare Avs M at the moment - but it's likely M will go back down to £1 (that's if I notice it now - after having had the 2 for £1.50 (working out at 75p each although having to buy 2), I've started thinking £1 isn't a good price and therefore it's not making the grade for my list).

The Royster's T-Bone crisps pack has also been £1 in M recently (so, would have been best Avs M, rather than price match to £1.50 - unless of course anything trumps it, like cond.spends at T, but making a gain then losing 60p). I think M, like T, are now £1.88, so buy at a different time, wait for a glitch, buy diff brand now (preferably with a glitch) or a cashback offer etc.

Bisto Shepherd's Pie is currently Avs T or M £1.00. And BE Fresh Field Petit Pois, I suspect those are Avs M too (although at £1.00 for 545g it's not good enough price-wise to me as SP Peas 1kg are cheaper). Buying the BE ones in S at £1.99 on Svs A makes much more sense though. There is currently half price cashback on Msl (about 99p), although you have to spend £20 or more (total bill after any Nectar reward spend has been taken off), but that and BM back to A making the peas almost free or 1p.

(I think it may be good to go and look at, or look for, Sain vs A, particularly as A's prices have changed significantly in the past week and some of which may also be useful for Tvs A.)

    * Last Wednesday (the relevant date) of course.

Its been really bad, I'm lucky I live at the top of a hill...lots of people lost their cars and posessions, no drowning round this bit but lots without power overnight. We never get floods as we are really high so it was a real shock.

for tea;) we had bbq of pork bbq burgers .lamb kofters ,minty lamb kofters pork n homemade spicy sauce with coleslaw tiger rolls salad and posh crisps;)

i want to try lentils but dnt know what to do with them but thanks to yr recipe i will try them thankyou

Hehehe, do you call it tea? I call it supper. Is there a difference? Do you call the meal in the afternoon dinner or lunch? ;)

Give the lentil patties a go. They taste lush but just bear in mind lentils are quite bland, so add whatever flavouring you may like. Also, they taste much better eaten soon after making them. They taste a bit meh once they have cooled down.

A nice yoghurt dip, or a nice fiery ketchup is a must with them. Good luck sweet thing.
