I took in an old classic Lisa Kline Mens cashmere sweater that I had recently grown out of and they offered me just £10 for it. I told them they could have it for £270 but they declined. C4C is an absolute rip off imo.0

A cousin is a driver for a local cash for cloths outfit ( no pun intended ) it is exactly the same biz model as cash for gold - a classic hook and spin. I would be warily, I understand they pay X per kg but what is wrong with giving them to the local charity ?? Just my two pence worth0

I'm in the process of a clear out and had wondered if anyone had used either genie recycling or we buy clothes? Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!:)0

I saw in H&M that they are offering a £5 voucher per bag of clothes/textiles and it only has to be a small carrier size - so this might be of use to someone0

If you don't want to sell them on ebay because of the postage and fees, why not try local selling sites. People come to your door, hand over the cash and take the goods, so instant cash.
All you need is a facebook page, then search on there for 'items for sale in xxxx' or similar, I live near Harrogate and am admin on a number of sites in the area.
Items for Sale in Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon is one of them.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I don't think it's really meant to do what you were trying to use it for. They buy old clothes by weight - if you were offered £10 for a jumper I suspect the person you were speaking to wanted it for themselves. For clothes with any real value you'd be better off selling them separately.0 -
We have several stores like this. I did try selling some clothes to them a while ago. Thought the site says 50p per kilo, I did have about 20KG of old clothes and i would have gotten £10 however they tried offering £2.50 instead due to some ridiculous reason.
Before people tell me I should be charitable, I did want to donate but due to some reason the bank messed up and took out a lot of my money out of my bank account. I did try selling everything to get my money back.
Luckily I did donate the items after refusing the offer. My bank did end up fixing the mistake. The 20kg worth of clothes went to a local charity shop. All of the clothes did sell and it came up to a massive £478.
Personally I wouldn't recommend these kind of places, unless you literally need the money. The clothes would be better going to a charity than companies like these.0
