I wouldn't waste the money on the stamps. when they call just quote the BR ref. No. and the phone number of the OR dealing. I took great pleasure in phoning all the creds before they called meBR 18 Oct 2006 Discharged 16 April 2007 :T0

If you really do want to write to your creditors I suggest something like:
Dear xxxxxxx
I am writing to inform you that I was declared bankrupt on xxxx at xxxxx court. I am enclosing a copy of the order for your information.
Please do not contact me by letter or telephone. All enquiries should be directed to the official receiver dealing with my case.
Yours sincerely

Allofadither ... that is EXACTLY what i did write ... the reason i wrote was because i found great pleasure in sealing the envelopes and posting as if it was the final bit of BR ..silly i know but it's just how i felt .Also i'm not very good on the phone and was worried incase they asked questions or got nasty so some may say i took the easy route but it helped me ....then i bought a bottle of wine , went round to my friend and sighed with relief ...BR as of 26th April 2007 and feeling 10 years younger :T
If only ex could be sorted as easily :wall:0 -
I understand why DM wrote to her creditors - a bit like an act of 'finality' on the whole problem.
If you feel that you wish to do the same, then by all means do so. However, as Remmer says, you are under no obligation to do so. The OR will write to all of your creditors, in good time.
If the phone is still ringing, you need only quote your BR date, court and case number - if they require ANY further information they should contact the OR.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
