What is the cheapest way to get from John Lennon Airport to Lime St Station in Liverpool.
There will be 3 adults travelling and I dont know if public transport would be cheaper than a taxi.
I cannot find any information about these fares
Can anyone help
Thank you

there are buses that run from the airport to the city centre (82/86)
Fares cost £2.10 per person.
Hop off the bus at Lewis's(ask the driver) and Lime st station is 2 mins walk.
A taxi would cost in the region of £15-200 -
The liverpool airport link bus (arriva airlink 500) is probably your best bet and I would think that the bus would be a lot cheaper than a taxi. There is info on buses here http://www.liverpoolairport.com/from-airport/by-bus.html
If you do decide to get a taxi- the airport is not that far from Hunts Cross station where you can get a train to Liverpool Central (a short walk from Lime St)0 -
Liverpool South Parkway station serves the airport - you can get a train from there direct into Liverpool Lime Street - a single anytime fare is £3.00

There's an Airlink shuttle bus (501) that runs between Liverpool South Parkway and the airport itself - the fare appears to be £1.60 (although this link does date from 2009).

The 501 finished in February.
Cheapest way is the 86A (£2.10) to Lewis's then a couple of minutes walk to Lime St, or the 500 direct to Lime St (£3.10)
If you are getting the train from Lime St and it goes through South Parkway, then you could get the 86a or 80a to the station and pick your train up there.just passing through.... Nothing to see....0
