Value of unclaimed ASDA vouchers

I'm wondering what could be the total value of unclaimed ASDA priceguarantee vouchers?
Many people just simply leave the receipts at the till (I wonder if ASDA staff is taking advantage of this by collecting and checking them online?) and I suspect that a large part of people who take them home, don't bother checking them online. Plus, there are vouchers of relatively small value (like 5p) nobody bothers to print and claim.
Does anybody have any idea what might be the value of unclaimed vouchers? Maybe somebody who works at ASDA?

It could be zero or it could be £10, its an unknown number. No member of staff from Asda is going to know the value are they.0 -
What I meant was the total value of all unclaimed vouchers countrywide. And I'm sure somebody at ASDA headquarters and data centres does know it but we can also try to speculate.
ASDA has 500+ stores in the UK. I have no idea how many transactions an average store does a day but I'd guess thousands or maybe tens of thousands. Assuming that only half of these transactions are eligible for a voucher and then half of the remaining ones are unclaimed, and that a naverage value of a voucher is £1.50, this leaves ASDA with approx. £200,000 of unclaimed vouchers per day (assuming 1000 transactions/day/store) or £70 Mio per year!0 -
You get customers like the elderly who don't know how to use computers and customers that have Internet access but no printer.
The most I have claimed from a receipt found in a trolley was £2.63.
The thing is when you pick up a receipt you have no idea if you are going to get a voucher or not. Also the receipt descriptions are vague as it just says wine or Nestl!. Cannot tell from the latter if its chocolate, cereal etc. I on e picked up a receipt with 2 bottles of wine scanned at £7.99 each. Turns out these bottles are 1.5 litre bottles.
Also Sainsburys have many unused Brand Match coupons as today I was behind a customer giving a wad of coupons and asked what coupons could be used. I saw about three BM coupons and another moc coupon torn up because they were out of date.
I have an aunt and two friends who work for Sainsburys and f they use coupons not issued to them - they will get dismissed as a system knows what coupons have been issued and highlights any potential misuse of their discount card. Surprised Asda allows colleagues to keep receipts and check them later.0 -
fionajbanana don't think OP meant staff were keeping receipts I believe he was implying what if?? i suspect it would too be in breach of their contract. As for picking up receipts I got an £11.63 voucher for a receipt leftover in my trolley, not a bad find. I have noticed the trolleys seem to being emptied of receipts more now than before this offer began (sadly).0

Unless you got a laser printer, it will probably cost more that 5p in ink to print the voucher.
Personally I think it's all a load of bull. If they know the prices of other supermarkets, then why don't they print the voucher automatically at the till. Why do they expect use to faff about typing receipt numbers in a website to print a voucher off. Better still, why not just lower the prices in the first place.0
