I think what they do is give you a discount off the max price. At least on the net there is always a discount built in to their prices.
We used Visa Travel and found them to have the best prices to Club Med (last year). We also contacted other web sites that claimed to have the best rates, but they couldn't match Visa Travel ones. As Always, the discounts and terms and conditions vary all the time, so it's still worth shopping around.

are you a quidco member? I know Airtours and direct holidays give decent commision, and they're owned by Thomas Cook so hopefully you'll get some from them
Airtours are 6% and direct holidays 3%. On a £1000 holiday thats £60 or £30 back, not to be sniffed atI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -
I'm not big on holidays, but can't praise the girls in the Luton branch enough, when I booked a 'surprise' wed aniversery trip, for us to Vegas last year.
They did LOADSSSS of searching & suggestions for me, then...
I spent a bit of time making my own trip, through the net, went back to the branch & they checked it out again & rang their Posh Thomas Cook Brand (cant think of the name) people, who are able to do price match deals.
Result, got it for a few £$£$ difference, used all our credit card points, earnt some more, didn't have a booking fee, got reduced currency rate, got an EXCELLENT itinery, details, lugage tags & wallet pack & everything in it, discounted UK airport hotel & parking, follow up fone calls from the branch & it was just like having my own personal tour operator!!
So ask in the branch to 'do a deal'!!
They'll certainly have our business next time!!

If you do find a code that works, but want to book it via a travel agents. Last year I did a screen print of the beakdown cost of the holiday, including discounts and took this to the shop and they were happy to honour all the discounts. They even gave me free insurance as well. Bargain.Josey0
