House Insulation Grants

There are grants for cavity wall insulation but what do you do if your house has solid walls with no cavity.Can I get a grant to insulate the walls outside?

Ring up the Energy Saving Trust and ask.

However as external insulation for a 3 bed semi can cost upwards of £10,000, as opposed to a £200 -£300 for cavity insulation, I would very much doubt assistance will be available

Can't think it is a good measure anyway,AAMY.
100mm thick metre square blocks screwed into the wall and then rendered. Can't see it standing up to the weather.

We are waiting for a survey to be done for our house for External Wall Insulation,we don't have a cavity either,they said we need a specialist firm to do it.The company have still not contacted us regarding this survey and that's been since June.The area we live has had this done throughout our Estate to the Council owned properties and we are according the many different people knocking on our doors about Insulation,solar panels etc are earmarked for having the work carried out.We wait with baited breath to hear when this will happen.

Yes there is funding available for external wall insulation and even free if you have electric or coal heating, If you have gas central heating you would need to pay towards it, How much depends on epc really
