Amazon local has a deal on excel training from Blue Mountain training.
Anyone had any dealings with them?

What are you looking to learn in excel?
Have you looked on you tube, there are often lots of video tutorials that are available.
Also there are websites like Lynda.com who offer 1 week free trials where you can access their video training.
I wouldn't splash money on learning the basics of excel and for most home users, you should be able to cover what you need to know through you tube or sites like Lynda.com for free.0 -
No, I want update on Excel 2007 and 2010.
Pivot tables and the like...
The course covers that. But not sure they are reputable.0 -

Thanks, I have watched some of the videos in past, but I use Excel in everyday work and recently been upgraded to 2010 version and what I am really looking for is a course of all the things the programme can do. Rather then just catching up on specific item that I have just been asked to do.
If you know what I mean??
Like I know about Pivot tables, Look ups and few things, but then suddenly people ask me "can you do XYZ" and that is the first time I've heard it..
I want a course on the whole programme.0 -
Totally understand..
Lynda may be an option

They used to do a free trial but if that isn't the case, you pay about £20 for 1 month and you get access to all their other tutorials and courses. As far as moneysaving goes, that to me is good value.
I can't comment on the course that you are looking at, I see these types of courses being advertised on wowcher and similar sites. To me, they look no better than what you can put together yourself from various sources on the internet.0 -
And you have personally enrolled with Lynda.com and have a good experience? You would thoroughly recommend them?0

I used the free trial and got what I needed.
Everyone learns differently. If you can get a free trial, its a no brainer.
I think you can watch the intro to each course for free so have a look at those to see the quality etc. I was more interested in learning photoshop and some other adobe products. Personally, I would always look there first if it came down to doing a distance type training scenario- for £20, its worth that to me rather than spending money on a course, I am unsure of the quality of.
Also I would look on you tube - search lynda.com as I think they put some examples on there.0 -
Thanks I will have a look.
To be fair the other course also cost just £19. And as for quality - that is why I am here:-)0 -
Not heard of them but you could try Alison (google it) for online IT training for free.0

Interesting site that, I am always on the look out for new ways of learning things... Thanks for posting that0
