I am...I skipped BF3 all together as I heard nothing good about it and stayed with BF BC 2 instead. I love strategy and team work so you can always spot the people who are more used to CoD as they tend to ignore the objectives such as in Rush maps completely ignoring a disarm.....the videos for BF4 look really good...

I'm a big Battlefield fan. I've got them all, including all the add ons from the original right up to date.

I'll 100% be going for Battlefield 4. Battlefield 3 was a different kind of awesome from Bad Company 2. Both are great in different ways. I hated Battlefield 3 didn't have the Commander mode though from the older series but it's in BF4 which is awesome.

I liked the original CoD game on the PC including the expansion pack. For single player they're much better than Battlefield, but when it comes ot online it's Battlefield all the way for me. PC version is a lot better as well

Yeah I'm really looking forward to BF4. I've been playing BF3 on Xbox360 and will get 4 for Xbox 360 aswell to start off with. Love the teamwork and objective play that IMO trumps the Call of Duty series.

I'll eventually upgrade to a next gen console so I can experience Battlefield with 64 players like the PC guys already have.
I considered getting a PC but I like to game on the sofa after sitting at a desk all day at work, so I'm prepared to take a hit in the graphics department for long gaming session comfort :D

another excuse to bring out the 17min gameplay trailer

I don't think it will be too much of a graphical hit to be comfy at this stage though. Looks awesome

I don't know. All of the trailers and teasers I've seen so far are on high end PCs. With the best will in the world the Xbone and PS4 wont be able to compete with that, they just don't have the specs.

Granted they will be a graphical and processing power revolution from the old gen consoles, but still not up to a top PC (but then not top PC price either)

But you are right considering I play Battlefield more for the gameplay than the prettiness I totally agree with you. It will still be a beautiful game on console and my sofa is sooo sooo comfy. I'm sold ;)

Can see where your coming from but playing with comtroller is impossible to me.. i had keybored when killzone was out on PS3 i rule most of the game i was playing and i got bored, so started playing with controller got me f***** off with the game as kept dying...
Reason i play on PC are
    1) dont think the map will be as big on consoles
    2) Stable connections
    3) Choose server you want as some admin will kick & banned all cheaters....
    4) Teamspeak for clan awsome...

All i need is a comferble sofa high enought

I totally agree that mouse and keyboard offers far greater control over joypad but when everyone is using a controller it levels the playing field a bit.

I have heard that next gen consoles will be basically same maps and flag layout as PC, only the old gen consoles will suffer with reduced flags number (same map size) just like bf3 has at present.

I don't have too many issues with disconnection, xbox live has been pretty good for that in my experience. Not used PS3 so unsure whether PSN is as stable

On consoles its very cheap to rent a server starts from about £2 for a day (not the vast amount of money on PC) so if you have trouble with Badmins you can just set up your own server cheaply.

XBOX live has party chat up to 8 people anyway, and if you had full clan then BF3 for the xbox had VOIP in it already (you could choose between Squad or Team chat), would expect it to be the same for bf4 and next gen so shouldn't be an issue, I hear that VOIP will be available for PC in BF4 aswell, so you shouldn't need to teamspeak any longer. But playing without team communication must detract from the game so much don't know how PC players tolerated no VOIP for so long in BF3.

Anyway you have a PC so you're all good most of what I posted is irrelevant to you but thought I'd respond with my thoughts as I had been torn between PC building or next gen for quite some time.

    thanks

Well if the PS3 OS is terrible and the disconnection is a nightmare.. suppose paying for it on Xboxx you get what you want

I am really looking forward to Battlefield 4, will be playing it on the pc.

I had BF3 which was ok although it had so many glitches and was continuously crashing so I kept on losing all of my progress  I gave up on it in the end as it was so bad, just wouldn't connect to any servers as it kept "timing out".

I really hope that there aren't such problems on BF4, I think I would cry!!
  • I just love to play this type of game.
