When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

Morning,
Thought I'd get up early today as I've lots to do.
The List:
:starmod: Make a quiche with milk rather than cream. Haven't done this in years and we've got a glut of eggs. (Link) Also made two pasties with left over pastry, some mashed potato for the freezer, lentil soup, chocolate cake, blanched some daikon, cookedtwo baked potatoes and made omelette 'mix' for tomorrow's breakfast.
:starmod: Walk to Post Office if it ever stops raining.
:starmod: Cut OHs hair using clipper kit. Free haircut!
:starmod: Job-seeking: I will get another good job.
:starmod: Look at BzzAgent and see when/if they're going to send me free products to test. (Link)

Good morning
Today is another NSD for me (with the exception of obligatory PAD)
* Made packed lunch and remembered to bring it to work
* Dinner tonight from store-cupboard
* Free water, tea and coffee all day
* Made my PAD of a £2.88 banking round down to credit card
I need to call pet insurance to get a claim form, the bonus is that the vets are going to sort it all out for me and I will end up with a little credit on my account as the first bill was more than excess... Saves me the hassle anyway!
This evening will be a spend-free snuggle in front of TV catching up on our faves, still abstaining from alcohol in the week as I am reaping the benefits - :T
Supposedly a fine day so will get more washing on the line (aside from free drying it makes it smell lovely
)
Have a super day

Hi all,
Today's stuff so far:
*Horribly large pile of ironing done - switched off for last garment.
*Mended a sheet.
*Watered veggie garden.
*Did a few surveys.
*Picked big bunch of Honesty seedpods. Going to piggle them later to fill large vase in guest bedroom. To think I almost paid money for a bunch of dead twigs in Wilko's when I can just use my own dead twigs from home, lol!
*Do the meal plan tweaking that dropped off yesterday's list so that budget has a better chance of stretching over the BH.
*Plan what to cook for tomorrow's lunch when friend comes over, using entirely stuff from garden/store cupboard.
*Made bread & pizza dough.
*Put £10 M&S vouchers received today through the post in the 'Clothes' Piggy. (From M&S credit card loyalty points. Since being debt-free, we only use the card for petrol, which we budget for anyway, & occasional other items of planned spending. It's paid off in full at the end of each month, so when we get a few vouchers, it does feel like free money& therefore a Good Thing)
*Remind mr f to research prices for a couple of king poles as not long till our camping trip........whoooo-hoooo!
That's it from me. Doubtless other bits of stuff will crop up throughout the day.
Cheers,

Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -

We often do it. I reheat them by boiling them in a bag. I find them watery if you nuke them. Some folk prefer not to add the milk/butter before freezing.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
