I want to buy the bent metal things you get on victorian style boots, that you criss cross the laces through to lace them up.
Sorry for the rubbish description, I hope someone knows what I mean. Do they have a name?
Thanks

Think they may be called lace hooks, usually the type of things that are on walking boots? Try eBay as they have those, and will let you see if that's what you meanEvery days a School day!0

I know exactly what you mean and the name is just eluding me. I don't have time myself, but if you don't get any more replies, and it is important, I suggest you contact Northampton Museum, who know all about shoes & their history0
