Bacon omelette / scramble, vegetables in Tempura batter, and salad potatoes.
(if there are enough potatoes boil double and save half (only just cooked) for potato salad...
Next day, chop them into cubes, mix them with mayo -(H.M. or commercial brand) maybe chives if liked. Serve with Tuna forked over, pref with cucumber relish, and salady bits.
Baked potatoes with bits...
Bits = e.g. Baked Beans, sausages, grated cheese, grated carrot, coleslaw, ( selection accounts for dislikes ... to an extent.
Crumpet pizzas.
Toast crumpets & butter, meanwhile in pan, fry onion, ad & warm chopped toms (can drain or reduce so they're not so watery), (can add fried mushrooms if juniors like them) either serve onto toasted crumpets, top with grated cheese, and grill, or stir grated cheese in. THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS LOOK TOO APPETISING.
Cheesey beans on toast.
Boil beans to bu**ery, grate in cheese to melt, serve on toast.
Cracker toppers. (nursery food) Ritz and similar topped with toppings such as cream cheese, ( i used to make faces with veg on these) tuna mix as above, peanut butter, hard cheese, served as a mini tea party, ( well I must have had a lot of time on my hands ) with individual jellies, plastic pudding (Angel Delight) mini sandwiches (full ones decrusted and cut out with cookie cutter, or simply quartered) .... this one leaves you free to eat something more grown up separately.
Oh well...... they're just suggestions

Hi! Do you have any eggs?
Large yorkshire pud. Boild veg, garlick fried potatoes.
Tiny might like small omlet with a little of mashed veg.
Or nice big family omlet grated cheese mixd int egg cook one side place bacon bits on top with extra cheese and serve with veg. Some of the best lessons we ever learn,we learn from our mistakes and failures.the error of the past is the success and wisdom of the future. :j0 -
Someone posted a really nice thing in a thread called something like the cheapest meal ever, which sounds uninspiring but is actually very nice.
You slice and layer your potatoes with onions and chopped tomatoes and the bacon if you have it (no need to pre-cook the bacon), use the garlic and some herbs and salt and pepper if you have them. Top with cheese and bake for about an hour. Check out the thread for the precise instructions if you need them, but this is how I made it and it was lovely. You could serve it with your carrots and broccoli, and have a really nice meal made out of just the things which need using up before they go off!0
