Student Loan Overpayment Prevention scheme
I am on the verge of my student loan repayments being switched from PAYE to direct debit on the overpayment prevention scheme.
Does anyone know how the amount of the direct debit is set? I tried asking their call centre operator but they were very non committal and would only say they would determine a suitable payment amount.

From the website:Each year when we receive the repayments you've made through the tax system we will use that information to calculate how long it would take you to repay your outstanding balance, based on the assumption that you would continue to make repayments at that level.
It doesn't say it exactly, but it seems to suggest your payments will be set at the average payment you made over the previous year.0
