How about something like flapjack where you melt the butter then your child can do the rest of recipe which is just mixing all the ingredients together as you do with muffins which are easy to make.0

Puff pastry whirls: roll out pastry, spread tomato puree or pesto (or both) on with the back of a spoon- easier for small children than using a knife- sprinkle with grated cheese, tear up some ham or basil and throw that on, roll up and slice into 1cm ish rounds. Lay these flat on a greased tray and bake in a hot oven until they're golden and bubbling.
I cook these with my Y1 cookery class and the parents love them as much as the children! You can put anything in them, really, sweet or savoury. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0
