please can someone advise me, the following is from the csa old rules calculator
For non-resident parents, the housing cost that count towards their exempt income are normally up to £80 a week or half their Net Income - whichever is higher. This is the amount we normally include even if their actual housing costs are higher than this.
Question = Net Income is £400 would housing exempt be £200
Housing exempt at the moment £100 is this wrong

The first thing to work out is the actual housing costs - rent or mortgage payable. This figure is then subject to the £80 or half net income restriction. So if the earnings are £400 and the actual housing costs are £100, £100 is allowed. If the earnings are £400 and the housing costs are £300, they would be restricted to £200 - make sense?0

After the OP has verified actual 'proof' of housing costs.0 -
Yes - verification of the rent or mortgage would need to be supplied.0
