Fixed Rate morgage

Hey, about 6 months ago i fixed our morgage for 5 years. Yesterday my next door neighbour knocked on the door and said be careful with your girls there is used drugs needles outside our houses. Is this a good enough reason to be able to get out of our fixed morgage and move out of the area. Feel like it isnt safe anymore.

    The lender wont release you from the mortgage without paying the early repayment charges.

    They may allow you to port the mortgage to a new property however. Which means you can move the mortgage to a new property - however it would go through the full underwriting process again.

    Unfortunately the lender is only bothered about the property being in one piece and you making payments.

    No finding one needle is not a reason to get out of a 5 year contract.
    Perhaps buying a gun and shooting the drug dealers/users might help.
