Getting discharged next month

Hi

My hubby was sequestrated on 24th July 2004. He didn't have to attend court and had a phone conversation with his trustee about a week after to give out income and expenditure. We have never heard anything since but we are assuming he will be discharged 3 years to the date? What happens then? Will he be informed by letter?

I'm sorry you haven't had any replies lou770. It's very quiet on here today which might be one reason, and the other is that not many people know how scottish BR works (me included). Hopefully someone will pop by with an answer soon.

Hi Lou - I'm not sure of the situation, in Scotland, but there appears to be some inconsistency, in England, as to whether or not the OR/Trustee will write to him. In my case I did receive a letter (almost a month after my early discharge) although many people report that they only found out by continually checking on the Insolvency Service website.
As this site does not appear to have a section for Scotland, perhaps it is worth contacting his trustee to confirm your husband's situation.

If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
