Shoot it yourself wedding DVDs

Options
Hi, just wondering if anyone is having, or had, a shoot-it-yourself wedding DVD, and what your experience was?

We had decided that we weren't having a videographer, partly because I can't stand to hear myself on camera. But I did see some videos where the guests have filmed the day from their eyes and thought it was a pretty sweet idea.

Have found a company that will supple camera, instructions on how to use, 2 days hire, tripod, insurance & edited DVD for around £250. All others I've found are £300-400. How does this compare to prices others have found?

  • Seems really reasonable, do you get insurance with that?

We hired shoot it yourself digital cameras for all our guests and we were lucky that insurance was included in the price, so double check that.
  • Do you mind me asking which company you found for £250?

    Thanks

Just checked, it includes full insurance :)

joey, it's a company called Roll It There Roisin based in Ireland (we live in N. Ireland, getting married in Rep Ireland). The price is special offer, but from what I can see they've been running it for a while
