What a nightmare for you! If I were you'd I'd block the number or mark the number on your phone book as something like "DON'T ANSWER" and sit tight until they bother to send something to you in writing.

It amazes me how many people (Not you per se) will just start talking about paying up to debt they haven't had confirmed as theirs. Yes maybe you do owe them but if someone came up to you in the street and said, oi! you owe me money, gimme! You'd say er I don't think I do and if I do- prove it!

I used to get a lot of phone calls about debt from a houseshare I moved out of and I just said you've got the wrong person, please remove me from your mailing list.

Any chance you can change your number/SIM, or have your Service Provider block their number?

just refuse to answer there security questions it really annoys them. woffle at them . they get bored after awhile. just dont get scared of them.

Have you got an Android phone? If so download the 'Mr Number' app. You can set it to pick up and hang up any calls you dont want

thank you for all your responses - the OH just ignored all the calls today on his mobile - its his private one so thankfully he could ignore them and it didn't interfere with work!

Love the sound of the mr number app and/or talking random nonsense on the phone!!! he's got an iphone but i'll suggest an app search for something similar!
