Getting through the next 3 days....

Hi all,

It's been six months of stress, worry, angst and despair, but we finally got the environmental stuff sorted out, exchanged last week, and are due to complete on Thursday (and physically move in on the Saturday).

Thank you to all who have helped me this far....

I am all paid up with our solicitors (full deposit sent over), pretty much entirely packed, have sorted everything out with utilities / ending current tenancy / changing addresses, have taken out as much mortgage / income / protection / life insurance money can buy, etc etc etc. The property has been empty a few months now, so completion should be a simple case of having the money transferred and then picking up the keys from the estate agent.

Now all that is left to do is worry myself sick that something will go wrong...

As I understand it, it's only death or other major change of circumstance (like losing job I guess?) that would invalidate the offer, or if the original application is found to be fraudulent (which it definitely wasn't!). I am fretting though that due to a very recent car prang my husband's credit card bill is somewhat higher than we said would be the case by the time of completion on the application, while we wait for his insurance payment to come through - our solicitor said that isn't a problem and all they will do now is bankruptcy checks on us both, which we aren't!

Don't know why am posting really other than to air my worries and ask for reassurance or to be made aware of anything else that could conceivably go wrong here, so I am not side-swiped at any point in the next few days....

This is (almost!) worse than getting my exam results!! Am a worrier at the best of times, but as a congenital pessimist and a FTB, I am in permanent overdrive right now....

NEVER again is all I can say!!!
