Twitter query

Hi all

Sorry for being ignorant but I have read a few times on the board that people have received prizes in the post from twitter and didn't even know they had won.
My query is, if you enter a comp on twitter, how would they know your address if you were not aware you had won to send it to you..??

Twitter can get in touch with you - they can mention you, so unless they don't tag you (which I don't think has ever happened to me) you always know you have won.

I think if they have won from twitter, they have also had to enter on an external form, if that makes sense? You RT and then enter via another form, this way you wouldn't know you had won as they already have your address.

They will either send you a Direct Message (DM) if you follow each other, telling you that you're a winner, or they will mention your username (@reply) and you'll be notified that way
