Just got a WEM that I've won meet and greet tickets for Mcfly at Newmarket Racecourse this weekend. I'm a big fan but my best friend's birthday has just been arranged for Saturday night so I can't miss it.
I'll email back and ask them to redraw. Gutted.
Third win in a week though after a long dry spell so it's perked me up!

Cant you do both, the Meet and greet will probley be before the show (they normally are) then leave and go to your mates birthday.0

If it was your friend's wedding then fair enough, but to miss out on a once in a life opportunity like that, that you clearly really want to do - well, sorry, but I think you're barking - meant in a caring and supportive way, natch

If she really is your friend, she will want you to go for the meet and greet. Do that, then tell your mate you'll something else with her for her birthday. She'll get an extra celebration that way too.

I agree. Speak to your friend and if she's a real friend then she would want you to go to this amazing prize! It's only a birthday and you can celebrate with her on another day.
I bet she would feel awful if she knew you gave up this chance to meet your fav band just because of her birthday.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0 -
I just feel guilty as it's her 30th and I have met Mcfly before. Going to have a think about it and work out timings before deciding anything though!WINS: Spa break, 5* London hotel break, Mcfly meet and greet, V Festival tickets, Brunch with Barbie at Hamleys.0

Take her with you!
You can both celebrate her birthday there
And then go onto somewhere else. 0 -
If you were my best friend and it was my birthday, I would tell you to go meet McFly, with my absolute blessing. I would be gutted if you missed out on my account.0
