Applying for mortgage with missed payments. Advice desperately needed!

    Maybe he just said it to calm you down?
    Maybe he thinks it is a full 6 year check?
    There could be a few reasons but either way so long as you get the mortgage it doesnt matter. We see people on here with defaults, CCJs, late/missed payments galore they get mortgages at normal rates in a lot of occasions so you have nothing to worry about.

    I suppose by googling "Declined mortgage missed payments" is only going to being up the unsuccessful ones and to be fair their deposit has been lower or they've gone for new builds or shared equity schemes.

    Ill try to stop panicking :-)

    Why don't you use https://www.checkmyfile.com to get all three credit files from one place, then you get the full picture?
