Chocolate Multipacks In Supermarkets

Hi guys.

I have absolutely no shame in admitting my massive love for chocolate.

Not the posh stuff, the bog-standard Cadbury, Galaxy, Mars etc stuff is what does it for me.

Being a die-hard money saver when it comes to grocery shopping, I long ago stopped buying single bars and only generally now buy the multipacks when they are on offer (usually for a pound).

This has meant my choices have become a lot more limited.

Why are so many single bars never available in multipacks?

Why, for example, can I easily get a 3-pack of Yorkie but not the gorgeous Honeycomb Yorkie?

Again, it's easy to pick up a multipack of Kit-Kat Chunky but you can't get the amazing Peanut Butter version.

Again for Dairy Milk. Always available but no luck for the Whole Nut version.

And you can get the average Fry's Chocolate Cream in a multipack but can't get the yummy Orange version.

Why is this??? Do the chocolate companies not want my cash? Anyone have any ideas why the multipack choice is so limited?

I don't buy chocolate much these days but I couldn't help noticing that you only get 3 bars for £1 now instead of 4 like a few years ago.

By the tills in Asda, also the chocolate bay opposite the tills & tobacco kiosk they have a good selection of chocolate bars that are £1 for any 3. Yesterday I bought a 6 pack of aeros in Iceland for £1.50 2 original, 2 mint & 2 orange, only a little bit smaller but still a good size.

Pound shops always sell packs of choc bars in 3s. Wait until they are on offer at supermarkets and you get 4 bars for £1.

I agree with op. It's always the same ones in a loop. I won't pay the ridiculous prices for single bars either.

The cadbury shops in the designer outlets usually have bags that they've made up with lots of bars in them, if you can get to one of those. They have the boxes of Fry's chocolate too - with a few bars of each type in them.

Yes, the Cadbury outlet shops are good. I try to avoid them as I end up eating far too much!

Aldi and Lidl do cheap but tasty lookalikes on some well known choc bars. I don't think they do a Yorkie or Kitkat though. For the price might be worth a try.

Recently Sainsburys has started selling Cadburys Fruit and Nut bars multipacks of 4 for a pound. This has long been one of my favourite choc bars and this is the first time I've seen anything but the standards on offer (Dairy Milk, Wispa, Flake, etc).

I've never even seen a honeycomb Yorkie, but it does sound delicious. Will have to keep my eyes open now.

For the most part I only buy £1 multipacks of chocoate and stock up when they are in. I also make my own selection boxes from them in the run up to Christmas.

They are SCRUMMY!!

Can be quite difficult to find. Tesco often have them in their single-bar selection. I occasionally break my single-bar embargo and treat myself to one of these and a Kit-Kat Chunky Peanut Butter. They are both a proper treat. Why oh why can't they sell these in multipacks?? Bah.
