A wee car insurance question

Here's a wee question, when you are seeking car insurance quotes, what's important for you to have included on your policy . . . . i.e. courtesy car, legal cover, no claims discount . . . . etc. Just asking as interested, what's important and what's not so important . . . .
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Personally, the only thing I've insisted on is the Protected No Claims bonus, just in case. I suppose if I have an accident I'll wish I had everything but they don't half add to the cost.0

I work for a broker and I personally would say protected no claims bonus, and legal cover, keep an eye on the voluntary excess you are choosing especially if it's an online quote as all companies have a compulsory excess too some up to as much as £4-500, breakdown I wouldn't bother so much with as I don't travel too far although if you do long journies it may benefit you, just make sure there's no limits on how far they will tow your car etc0

No claims, as this provides a discount everything else costs you extra - and is of debatable worth. (Especially 'Legal' cover - as many Firms will act for you on a contingency basis at no charge, why pay before the event?).0

I never take the courtesy car option. If I was in an accident and needed repairs I would not use the insurance company's 'authorised repairer', but would take my car to the manufacturer instead. Insurance companies only give a courtesy car if you use their repairers, so I'd only be paying for something I'd not use.0
