I agree Sheils, a parrot or parrotlet is a HUGE commitment and very many people do regret getting them (I used to be involved with rescue and even I would not have one for myself). It really is like having a child. Mynahs make lovely pets but they do throw poo out of the cage, and a budgie or a pair of lovebirds is a great choice too, lovebirds are shrill but do get very tame and they are extremely entertaining to watch and endearing.

What about a budgie FF - much cheaper! They don't talk as well but can be trained easily enough and are good company too.

Hi firefly - nice of you to go and show your friend MSE. Think Sheils is right, maybe a budgie if you don't want to commit too long. Might be worth looking in the big pet stores as they sometimes have parrots that are already trained.

Sheils - nice little win on the Premium Bonds, well done.

Alfie - yes lovely community here.

iluvcats and anyone else with a lottery ticket good luck.

Had a card from UK Parcels, can only think it must be the paint brushes etc that Fred won last week.

BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS
