Cheese toastie for tea for me today as I've been clearing out my middle bedroom. Anyone got one of those dumping ground rooms that's just got a narrow path to the window?

Not any longer! Got rid of 9 bin liners of stuff! Only cleared half out and hadn't seen some of it for years. Feel much happier.

Fire**fly, have a vague memory when you got your new lappy, someone gave you techie help with it??? Was it in CC, have had a search but can't find it. I know you are a whiz with the searching and probably your memory is better than mine :rotfl:

Good Luck with laptop elle. I bought a new one the other week and still getting used to it. Worst of it is DD can't help me if I get stuck now as she doesn't have Windows 8.

Just saw a FB pic of DS2 on the beach near Sydney and one of his friends had commented "Ghost spotted walking along Sydney beach!"
Thought it was quite amusing.

Sheils you are lucky to have technology to keep up with your clan. Amazing how fast things have moved. We had manual type-writing classes and exams at school!

iluvcats modern technology is moving so fast these days I too learnt on a manual typewriter and did Pitmans shorthand which doesn't seem to be taught in schools either these days.

if you could say what probs you're having I might be able to find the post or help,
search only works for me when using key words & sometimes still have to use random words to find x

I have a Pitmans Typing qualification - can't remember my WPM score.

Don't like I.E. as too many cookies. Had to roll-back to I.E. 9 as incompatible with Kaspersky.

Firefox is generally good but have had some FB page issues this week. (blank pages or dead clickies)

Well that's the kids, the dog and the hamster fast asleep! Had a great day out at Preston Park/Museum. It's not far from a Premier Inn Sheils if you're up this way again, it's in Eaglescliffe. We didn't go in Museum or Butterfly World though as we spent too long in park! KFC and cake for afterwards

We got DD a female Syrian hamster Sylvia. DD chose her and called her Roxy. She is quite cute, light brown and white. I will take a pic of her when I can but it's in girls room at the minute! Jasper had a sniff but didn't bark at it...(yet!)

ILC, great ecards! I can relate to the carrier bag full of carrier bags one but I deleted candy crush as it was too time consuming! I kept burning the food!

Alfie, I wish my DH was as determined as you are getting kitchen done! Even the spiders have got their feet under the table and made themselves at home! It's a non moving project! Well done for getting things sorted :T
