Jo Malone - Airport Stores - discount?

Hi

I am planning to buy a gift for an upcoming birthday from Jo Malone.
I will be flying out of Edinburgh airport just before the birthday and I know there is a Jo Malone store there. Does anyone know if there is much of a reduction in the prices v's their normal High Street stores.

Just trying to weigh up if it is worth waiting or if I should just buy the gift now and know that I have it. (The flight via Edinburgh is pretty close to the birthday in question and I normally buy things a few weeks in advance)

Thanks

  • Hi, I stock up on my fav Lime, Basil and Mandarin shower gel and bath oil twice a year at the Edinburgh airport store - 20% off the High Street price.

You can pay for your items before your flight departs and collect them from a counter in the arrivals area on your return if you don't want to take them with you.
  • that's fab thanks. That's what I was hoping you would say:) and coincidentally it is the lime and mandarin range I've been looking at. We must share the same impeccable taste:D

I will be on a business trip to London so will certainly take advantage of the collection service - thanks for that reminder too.

Yes a large bottle of perfume is around £17 off so great discount!
  • Well sadly it wasn't a successful shopping experience. I happened to be through Edinburgh airport yesterday so I popped into the store and was disappointed to find that they had very little stock (apparently it is being repackaged so they are not restocking things at present) and nothing in the Lime and Mandarin range other than the perfume.

The assistant thought it may be a month or so before they get much stock back in but couldn't be sure so I'm now having a rethink on the whole gift as I don't want to buy something which immediately will be "old packaging" and have the recipient thinking it was in the clearance or something:rotfl:

I'm also less than keen on buying it at full high street price so I think I may have to keep the idea for a Christmas gift.

Ah well, back to the drawing board!
