..on the grounds that I am with another supplier, I was just wondering if anyone knew if they are allowed to do this before I contact Ofgem?

I was pretty sure that if you were supplied electricity by one of the major RECs, you had to apply for FIT payments through them. If you were supplied by one of the 'niche' electricity sales companies then you could apply to any of the FIT-payers for registration.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50

My (dual fuel) supplier when my PV system was installed was E-ON. I was able to register with Good Energy for my FIT.

Not sure if the rules have changed recently but my FITs are with BG and I was with Eon for electricity at the time.
I believe they are permitted to only pay their own customers. Is there a reason for not wanting to use your own supplier? I chose BG at the time because it was close to the deadline and they allowed email submission.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I'd forget the big suppliers. They hate FIT and are only administering it because they have to. Imagine how much effort they put into getting right? As little as possible.
I'd rather go with a FIT provider who is genuinely interested and keen to encourage greener technologies (Good Energy in my case but there are others). We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

What happens if you want to change electricity supplier? I imagine some of you low users losing your 'no standing charge' tariffs will want to join Ebico.0 -

If you change supplier you change for supply only, it doesnt affect FITs as far as I know. Never had the question when I was changing supplier.
You can move FIT provider too so if your preferred provider won't allow you to register FITs with them then you could move supply to them, register FIT and then move supplier later.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
