Twitter Competitions Query

Hi all,
Apologies if this seems obvious, but I have looked at other posts to see if I can find the answer with no luck...
With Twitter, does it matter how many followers you have and how frequently one retweets other competitions? In short, do companies choose winners who have likely retweeted to a lot of people over those just tweeting to say 15. Or are they put off by seeing someone seemingly retweeting anything in order to win something?!
I understand that the above would vary company to company but just wanted to see what peoples opinions are on the above.
Thanks in advance!

No.
I win frequently and I RT competitions only. I follow 1990 people and have 500ish followers.
It shouldn't matter if it is a fair competition, I have seen people say they will block compers but a swift mention of ASA will usually sort them out!
Hope that helps xDecember Wins: £300 worth of board games, £500 Tesco Vouchers Best Win in 2023: £500 Tesco Vouchers0 -
It does indeed!
Many thanks0 -
I was really cynical about Twitter comps just being won by people with loads of followers but I won a hamper the other week (apparently on its way to me now) so my cynicism has worn off temporarily

I do fairly well on Twitter, it doesn't IMO matter how many followers you have. However a swift mention of the ASA has never worked for me, currently have 2 claims with the ASA for Twitter wins, and I believe both prizes were never received because I am an obvious comper. Saying that 99.9% of wins I do receive xxI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
