Spelling mistake in Thank You cards - send or not?

The wedding is over, the cheques have been cashed, and presents looked at and cooed over. The leftover invites have been put in a memory box. Now is the time to write the matching thank you cards, which I ordered six weeks ago.
Unfortunately, having sat down to write them this morning, I have realised with horror that there's a typo on the pre-printed insert of them. I have logged back into Bride And Groom Direct, where I ordered them from, but all you can access in your order history is a summary of the item code, not the design. It is entirely possible it's my typo, but then it might not be. Either way, I now have 60 thank you cards with a spelling mistake in them.
Do I send them out with a typo and hope nobody notices? Do I try to tear out the insert and just write on the card? Do I just go out and buy more cards? It'd be another £30 for replacement matching cards.

I'm a bit of a pedant so maybe not typical. i wouldn't send something out if I spotted a mistake.
In the grand scheme of wedding costs, £30 is probably not huge.0 -
I'm of the opposite view. It's only a typo- people are unlikely to notice, and even if they do they won't mind. I wouldn't spend another £30 on replacements. If it really bothers you you could include an apology for the typo in the card- but I still think you're better off ignoring it and hoping no one notices!
I suppose it might depend on what the typo is though- I might care a bit more if the typo spelled out something rude for example!0 -
I tried to post a picture and failed miserably! The card says "Thank you for adding to the lovely memories of our special day, and your thoughful gift". Doh!© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0

I wouldn't be able to send them, I'd be too embarrassed.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140

if it were me I would handwrite the message...its far more personal than a printed insert correctly spelt or not!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I couldn't send them.
I made my own invites and they were pretty complex with a lot of information in and I reprinted them 3 times before I was 100% happy with them! Cost me a fortune and several grey hairs, but it was worth it!
I'd take out the inserts and write a handwritten message, specifying what the gift received was. I think it's nicer that way anyway.
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

well it took me 7 read throughs to find the mistake

i'd just write it out, its not a long thing to write out.0 -
if its their mistake - get them to re-do it. (Why didn't the printers spot it - surely part of the service?)
if not, just send them - i had to re-read to spot it. as mentioned people will be glad you took the time.
could always just add the missing letter with a big ! mark and make a joke of it.
it's the thought that counts.0 -

Took me a while to spot it too, and I don't think I'd have noticed if I wasn't looking for it!
You could probably squeeze the missing 't' in, that way you've fixed the mistake but you still get to use them.
Don't throw £30 worth of cards away, this is a money saving site after all!
