change mortgage payment date - help!

Hi! My mortgage is with nationwide and I have never (touch wood!) Had a late payment. It is due tmrw however and my husband hasn't been paid correctly so we are short by about half.....if I ring them up would I be able to change the payment date to next week when it will have all been sorted or will I still get a late payment charge? Many thanks xxx

The only way you're going to get an answer to that is to call them, I'm afraid.

  • They weren't open until 9 :) I spoke to them and they said it's too late to do anything but as long as my mortgage is paid by the end of the month I won't get a charge. However my bank may charge so I need to speak to them xxx
