You have to pick them when they're ripe. My garden blackberries are almost all finished now - they've been early this year.
If they're black and come away when you gently pull at them, they're ready.0 -
We freeze the blackberries in empty icecream or margarine cartons. The wrigglies crawl out of the fruit and head to the top of the carton then die of cold. When we want to make jam/wine we can just wipe a paper towel round the inside of the rim and bin the wrigglies.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound.
