I can't offer advice on the borrowing/level of debt question, but I've been to Japan and can assure you that it is an expensive country.
There are no 'cheap' electronics if that's what you're thinking.
Better think up a new 'get rich quick' plan 'cos the original one ain't gonna work.0 -
kiedistidus, you have been given excellent advise many of which are the elite on here. At 85% of your available credit, you are maxed out.
Reduce it as quickly as you can and throw your savings and anything else you can find towards these debts. The three credit card companies are very likely to jack up your interest rate in the not too distant future.
I can here them typing their letters already. You may question anything I say. Just be polite, otherwise you go straight on to my Ignore List, which funds a good old fashioned knees-up every Xmas. Cheers;)0 -
As others have said you have too much credit compared to your salary to get a loan, and if you have had 3 failed attempts this will make it even harder if not impossible.
So I don't know how much your savings are but keep £1000-1500 of it for emergencys or unexpected costs. Then use the rest to pay off the CC's, highest apr first then next highest apr etc. Then start saving up again while your living at home, see if your parents will give you a break on rent if they are charging you.
Also you might want to look into a bit of software called YNAB (You Need A Budget) I have been using the 34 day free trial and am truely impressed in what it can do and will be paying for it after my trial ends in 6 days. It basically allows you to see exactly where your money is going as you assign your £ to do jobs so you have everything covered. It also has an android and iphone app that uses dropbox to sync instantly between ur phone and desktop so you can add transactions as you buy them on the go.
Its just a recommendation but the other fantastic thing is the help and support that is offered completely free and it has helped people get out of far more debt than you are in.0 -
