in Cutting tax
I put in a claim to HMRC for using my own car for business about 7 weeks ago but have not had any word back from them. How long do they tend to take to process these sort of claims? I would perhaps have expected some sort of acknowledgement from them.

Most tax offices generally have somewhere between 5 to 8 weeks of a post backlog. If you sent yours to the wrong tax office, there will be an additional delay while they forward it to the correct one. Best to call them and check what's happening - they may have sent a cheque and someone's swiped it.Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.0
