Job interview on Monday - 11am!

Wel... I don't know what i was so nervous about! It was a doddle!
I wouldn't class it as an interview though really. I just had to sit and fill out an application form and then the manager went through all of the details with me. It's a fairly easy job actually and i think i'd really enjoy it!
Only myself a young lady (really young, still at school  ) turned up. I think if it was to be one of us two to get the job i may have the upper hand here, i am far more flexible because i am available all day every day where as she is at school and would have to fit that in with her shifts.
She said she was going to take a look at the application forms through the week and call us for a second interview. I got home around an hour after the interview and sat down to have dinner. At around 1pm my mobile rang and i saw the number on the screen IT'S THEM!!! lol i jumped out of my seat and nearly chocked on my coffee! So soon?! lol
She said she had had a read through my application form and asked me if I was still interested in the job (the interview was only this morning! - Of course i am interested!) would you like to come back for a second interview sometime this week?
Yes that would be great! So... I have a second interview on wednestday at 12.30.
She's given me a 'script' that i have to read and practice. The second interview is around an hour in length and i will be put onto the computers carrying out test calls.
When i was told this all i could think of was an earlier post in this thread saying 'Smile while you dial...' lol but i can't... the computer does the dailing for you and when the person answers the phone all the details and what to say to them come up on the screen, i suppose i could smile while i read out the 'script'
All in all i am very excited! Thank you to everyone who posted previously!
I will keep you posted and let you know how i get on
Thanks :T0 -
Well done Azza - and good luck for Wednesday!0

Sorry if you've misunderstood me; "smile while you dial" really refers to smiling while you're speaking on the phone. Is this a salaried post or commission only?

Good luck.
Well all she actually said was that the pay was £5.10 per hour for under 22's but if i was to join the bonus scheme it would be £10.__ per hour. It's not actually me that has to sell to the people on the phone (if it was i would walk away and not turn up on wednesday!).
The computer does the dailing, people pick up and i say hello and introduce myself, tell them they could be eligable for a £1000 voucher towards a new kitchen...
I then ask them if it is their own house, and how old their current kitchen is.
If they own the house and the kitchen is over 5 years and they are interested in hearing more about it i tell them i will pass their details onto our promotion team leader who will get back to them with more information on what we can offer them. - And that is it!
She said there would be approx 100 calls per shift, but some of them could be wrong numbers, people putting the phone down etc. If that is the case the computer will automatically disconnect the call and dail the next.
God! I was in there two minutes, haven't got the job yet and i am talking like i've been doing it for years!!!
Sorry for the long post!0 -
