Which Panasonic Breadmaker? SD???

After reading people raving about their Panasonic breadmakers, I'm tempted to replace my less than satisfactory Schneider one. I've searched and found two models SD252 and SD253 - anybody got any advice? The first is available for about £65.

I think off the top of my head the SD253 has the nut dispenser so I guess it depends if you need that"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It has to be the SD253 with the nut dispenser.
I cannot recommend it highly enough. Check out the reviews on Amazon.0 -
I bought the Panasonic SD253 last weekend. It was £89 ish and has the nut dispenser. We are using the dispenser for the first time today. The standard loaves are delicious ... . I wanted the nut dispenser built in so that we could go out to work and set it on delayed start to have a warm fresh loaf when we got back home (without having to wait and add the nuts and seeds). It's a matter of preference I think ...Enjoying an MSE OS life0

The Panasonic SD-253 is fantastic, we got ours in August 2004 after 'going off' shop bought bread. Prior to this we had a cheap breadmaker that produced naff loaves. We chose this Panasonic model after discovering that it has won several Good Housekeeping Institute awards for producing consistently good loaves of bread. It is extremely easy to use. Go for the SD-253 model as you will soon want to experiment with the more exciting stuff such as pizza loaf which will need the aut0 nut dispenser. It's great because you can put a loaf on timer so it is baked when you want it and having the auto nut dispenser means that you can leave all the ingredients in the machine and go off and do something else whilst it does all the work for you.:hello:0
