My middle names are round the wrong way, do I need to get this sorted soon before it causes problems..
Also halifax emailed to say the valuation went well & was valued at the buying price. Received the offer through the post today but no valuation report, is this normal? Who sends the report & is it likely I won't receive one?thanks

I think only Halifax applicants can answer this. I got my valuation together with the mortgage offer from the lender. The valuation report had mistakes in it, but it isnt the same as mistakes in the mortgage offer. You need to call them and ask. I think you should definitely look at the valuation as it can include comments.0

Yes, definitely get the names sorted out.
Also, the valuation reports never used to be sent with the offers for Halifax mortgages. Looks as if that's still the same, so you'll get a copy of the valuation separately.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Yes, or it wont tally with the info the solicitor has.
Mortgage offer needs to match ID which is what goes on the deeds and land registry.
Halifax will rescore the case with the 'correct' name.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks for replying, I have a meeting with my mortgage advisor on Saturday so I will ask her then about the valuation report (if I still haven't received it).
As for my names, I have sent her an email for her to change. Do hope this doesn't change anything and they then reject me...haha

You'll have to wait for the valuation to arrive. There is no mechanism for brokers or branches to get copies issued.
I don't know why this is.
On HTB cases, the solicitor needs a copy for the HCA HomeBuy Agent and they can only get them from the applicant.I am a mortgage broker. .
When I left the Halifax, Colleys entered all the valuation details directly on to the mortgage application system.
It was very rare for a copy of a report to be sent to the branch/service centre.
I think Colleys themselves sent the reports out to the applicantsEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Funnily enough, I've just emailed our BDM to ask about a system to get a copy of the val to the solicitor. On HTB cases, the sol has to provide a copy to the HCA HomeBuy Agent before they'll issue an ATE and they keep asking us and we have to keep telling them to ask the borrower.

I am not using the HTB scheme & as I am using a broker I don't have access to their online system

I will wait until Saturday to see if it arrives then ask my broker if she can get hold of a copy...my money paid for it so I will demand to see it even if it did come out ok

Sort the names trust me, Halifax check everything on the week they pay out even after offer.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
