Mortgage Application - Royal Mail ID Checking Service

Hi,
For my mortgage application I need to have my ID checked, copies of my passport verified.
Now time is of the essence so I wanted to use the Royal Mail ID Checking service. However, on the form it says the ID needs to be checked by Post Master or Sub - Post Master (amongst other people). Would getting the ID Checked by RM be valid?
Thanks

Are you using a mortgage broker? Or have a solicitor?

I'm getting my mortgage through nationwide and it is my solicitor that I have to provide the ID for.
It states that it can be certified by 'an authorised member of staff of a high street bank'
So could I ring Nationwide in the morning and ask if i could pop in during the day? Whats the likelyhood of this being possible?

RM service will be fine. The little fat guy at the desk is the sub postmaster is he not?I am a Mortgage Broker
