May I take a moment here to introduce the Hairy Bikers' "super posh chewy cookies"? (You need to say it in the accent for full effect.)
They said in this show that you need the butter AND oil to keep them chewy, and that's certainly been my experience. These take a huge amount of adulteration- cherry and chocolate is astonishing but M&Ms/ Smarties/ cranberry and macadamia etc all work excellently. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -

Many thanks building with Lego, I'm an avid hairy bikers fan and somehow must have missed this recipe too so Thankyou.
Regarding the accent that'll be a doddle as I'm a Geordie myself :-)0
