Yes definitely starts today, I work for Tu at our store, just getting ready to go in on overtime! Enjoy the bargains everyone, please be kind to the staff as mess levels go up massively, as do returns and enquiries so we spend a lot of time running around as well as trying to prep as much stock as possible to get replenishments out. It's like a mini Christmas! Enjoy!

As you work for Sainsbury's, do you happen to know why Tu doesn't sell online, please?

My wife loves the clothes, but as we live several miles from the nearest store, she only buys there occasionally. If Tu sold online (or even had a sensible online reservation system) she'd probably spend several times what she spends now. As things stand, Sainsbury's loses all those sales to other more up-to-date retailers.

I'm sure plenty of others have the same problem - why is Sainsbury's so backward?

I believe it is in the pipeline, but no timeframe has worked its way down to u on the shop floor so far. I would recommend emailing Sainsbury's themselves to keep the demand high in the agenda. I agree with you that it is daft we don't have that system in place yet, believe me I'd love to be able to say to a customer that they can click and collect a certain size we had run out of, or something our branch doesn't carry.

They have some really nice smart work clothes (assuming you are female and work in an office style environment! lol)

10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Stopped by the Colney store this evening, had a difficult day at work and couldn't apply my full attention to the serious business of bargain-hunting. The were some nice lingerie sets - bras in my size but knicker sizes were huge. The good Lord was clearly favouring the fat-a*sed this evening.

In the end I bought some nice trousers in a long length for the grand sum of £7.50, some sports bras at £3 each, and 5-packs of 15-denier tights in my size for just £1.04 / pack (21p each).
    Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
  • Our local Sainsburys doesn't carry much of a range of clothes (about half an aisle) however, they did have a few sale rails all of which was included in the 25% off. Managed to get 2 tops and a cardigan for the princely sum of £11.75 :)

  • I emailed Sainsburys yesterday about selling their clothing online and got this reply -

***Thank you for your email about our clothing range.

We are always looking at ways to make shopping easier for all our customers. I am glad to hear you were a fan of our clothing range. We currently have no plans to introduce the clothing range for sale online at this time. We are not ruling out the possibility completely, although many things have to be considered before we make such a big change to our service. I have to agree with you as there are some beautiful clothing items in the stores right now and it would be handier to go online and purchase.

If you would like to check the availability of our clothing ranges in any of our stores, you can check this at https://www.sainsburys-tu-clothing.co.uk/store-locator or you can call our Careline on 0800 63 62 62, where one of my colleagues will gladly check this for you.

I have passed your comments to Senior management as feedback from our customers helps us improve our service.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we look forward to seeing you online shortly.***

    So nothing anytime soon :(

We had a similar response a year or so back - they've still got their heads firmly stuck in the sand, then:
