There has to be a moral issue around an insurance company stepping on the toes of small business men/women!
You might be reassured by what my local greengrocer said when Tesco moved to town. Oh hang on.0 -

You know full well I share the view.
I just don't get why you do this?
OK I postedThe best service and price is the result of plenty of supply (both volume and number of suppliers).
The market will do the rest.

I'm not sure you know what large companies are for!
To use bulk and efficiency to give a service or product to more people on lower margins to make more profit.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Do you have any facts and figures showing that BTL is a shambles?
Read the housing board.
Many people have no idea that they are running a business not a car boot sale. In particular the 50 odd pieces of legislation that they need to adhere to. As they often find out to their cost when something goes wrong.0 -

indeed so
some large companies have paid no corporation tax
some large companies put horse meat into our food supply
some large hospitals brought death and suffering
some large bank brought the country to it's knees
some large companies have been shown to have conspired to raise prices
................
and yes I accept that some BTL landlords do not run their businesses well but I'm not sure what conclusions to reach.0 -

Perhaps they are the same people that worked at the organisations you listed above. An attitude towards others. Some would say culturally very American.

The business will want to increase their margin, not lower it.
They'll want to lower costs.
But you have a key point there which I made in bold.
How would you envisage a large company with increased administration costs (I don't charge my tenants for my time, but a company would have to factor this in) would make increased profits?:wall:

Its about max profit, higher margins = less sales, lower margins = more sales.
So in this case they can split admin costs accross many houses and probably charge a little more as they offer a much better deal.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
