    Find yourself a decent broker that specialises in the adverse mortgage market and understands the implications of the information held on your credit files.

    Armed with your credit reports they will quickly advise on the best way forward.

    You can't expect lenders to advance money for a mortgage. When your partner has recently defaulted on a debt. Money matters shouldn't be treated as a game. You may well now find that this ploy will backfire big time.
