Christening Gifts

Hi guys
Just wondered if anyone has any amazing ideas for Christening Gifts.
The problem I have with this is, that unless you are spending a fortune you know that the money box is going to get broken or end up in the bin.
So does anyone have any ideas for something different, unusual or just some amazing keepsake that they wont want to put in the bin.
Help or advice greatly appreciated
thank you everyone

I've taken advice from this thread and gone for little sets of Peter Rabbit books.

I get a small traditional token gift something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Christening-Gift-Rhinestone-Cross-Lucky-Sixpence-Keepsake-Gift-Box-/251315653009?pt=New_Baby_Christening_RL&var=&hash=item3a83948991
then either clothes/toy or cash/vouchers depending on the parents I've found this to be appreciated far more than the many silver photo frames/moneyboxes people tend to buy
if its for a girl maybe a engraved jewellery box which can be used when they are older and a silver necklace/braceletthis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
when my girls were christened , I loved the practical gifts more than the traditional that are sat on a shelf collecting dust
a nice set of books (Julia dolaldson, Shirley hughes, eric carle, roy Campbell)
a childrens picture bible
a wooden door name plaque
a blanket for the cot. there are some nice cath kidston ones but ££££
