when would be best to speak to bank/mortgage broker based on our big finances changes over next few months.
got house going up for sale next month happy to go into rented for 12 months or have option to move in with relative 6/12 months and storage room at work.
sept 15 credit cards finally paid off in full and will phone to close , oct 15th me and wife both pay off o/drafts and cancel (we have been in them every month last couple of years but never gone over them or missed any d/debits etc. also we will have 1185 extra a month there after as everthing is fully paid off and both had small pay rises
affordability for what were looking at is ok and will have approx 18% deposit no less, just wondered when would be best to apply for mortgage was thinking wait till 15th oct then another 3 months get the statements looking lot better and 3500 saved up

Blimey! That's micromanagement to the "nth degree."
TBH it doesn't really matter when you speak to them. They (a broker certainly would) provide advice and guidance without credit searches and would help you "roadmap" your future plans.
I'm beginning to worry that getting a mortgage is beginning to be considered a military exercise.
The best time to apply for a mortgage is when you have an accepted offer, your vendor has an accepted offer and the chain has fully formed up.I am a mortgage broker. lol the military exercise is a result of lifestyle change last 12 months meaning the debt we have had for years is finally almost gone and were now in a posistion to move house
instead of me just using my bank/credit card i now only spend what we have spare and check the bank daily all tips ive picked up from this site0 -
Staying with a relation would help your credit profit rebuild. As it would allow time for you to prove that you had indeed turned over a new leaf.0
